For 15 years we've been dressing your child on their sleep journey. Now it's time to introduce a timeless new product to hold your most treasured love during sleep. More than just a cot, Lyra is a companion that will grow with your baby from their first sleep, to their first steps towards independence.

Lyra's classic design embodies all the hallmarks of ergoPouch's minimalist style, sustainable design, and safety you know and love. Adorned with timeless curved lines and natural timber in a warm, soft tone, Lyra will seamlessly blend into any nursery and please any aesthetic.

The adjustable base has two heights for safety; use the higher position for a newborn or infant who is not yet sitting, and the lower position for a sitting infant or standing toddler. The legs come with your choice of height extenders for tall parents*, and caster wheels for families who may need to move the cot around the house for convenience.

Once your sweet babe reaches toddlerhood, convert your cot into a toddler bed with the included safety guardrail (from 2Y +) for the next stage of their sleep journey.

Expertly crafted with FSC-certified Natural Beechwood, ethically sourced in Croatia, the durable and sustainable timber will withstand the test of time. Lyra is coated in a fine layer of non-toxic lacquer to help preserve the timber for longevity of use, while being perfectly safe for curious little hands and mouths. Curved corners and tapered feet are a welcome safety feature, and add a timeless appeal in your nursery.

What age is the toddler conversion kit suitable from?

You can transition your child to the toddler bed configuration from 2 years old. Please note, if using the leg extenders, these need to be removed when you convert the cot into a toddler bed.

Do not use any pillows or loose bedding in the cot, before it has been transitioned to a toddler bed, for safety.

What age can I use the Cot from, and to?

The Lyra Convertible Cot can be used from birth. Use the Cot at its highest mattress setting from birth until around 6 months. Before your baby is independently sitting, drop the mattress down to its lowest setting.

At this height, your baby can stay in the cot until they are ready to transition to a toddler bed (from 2 years). Once converted to a toddler bed, your child can continue to use the cot until they outgrow it.

Is the wood safe for my baby if they chew on it?

Yes. The wood is natural beechwood, and coated with a chemical-free and non-toxic lacquer to protect the wood. This lacquer will not harm your baby if they bite the cot.

Is the cot sustainable?

Yes. The Cot is made from FSC-certified Natural Beechwood, which is ethically sourced in Croatia, and manufactured in China. The timber is durable, and will last several years across multiple children.

Why does it not come with a drop side?

As this feature is banned in the US for safety, we have decided to remove it from our cot designs to be a safer option for your baby.

Is the toddler conversion kit included?

Yes, the Toddler Safety Guardrail is included at no extra cost. Replace one cot side with this guardrail, to turn the cot into a toddler bed when your child is ready to begin their big-bed transition, from 2 years old.

Does this cot suit tall parents?

The cot comes with leg height extenders at no extra charge, for tall parents and caregivers. The additional height will reduce strain on backs when bending over to pick up and put baby down.

When converting the cot to a toddler bed, the leg extenders can be removed for safety. The lower height is safer for your child, and also assists them to easily get in and out of bed.

Why would I need the caster wheels?

The included caster wheels can be attached to the cot legs for those families that may need to move the cot around the house. For example, the cot can be wheeled into the parents room at night for overnight sleeping, but in baby's nursery during day to help them adjust to sleeping in that room.

What size mattress does the cot fit?

The Lyra Cot will fit a standard sized 130cm x 69cm mattress. We have designed our Deluxe Cot Mattress to be the perfect fit for the cot.

Will the cot fit in a narrow space?

The Lyra Cot is a standard sized cot measuring 742mm wide, and will fit through a standard door frame width of 820mm. The cot may not be suitable to fit through narrow or small doorframes and hallways spaces. If you have narrow hallways or door frames, please only assemble the cot once it is in the baby's nursery.
